Mission Statement

Our goal at Charlyn's is to produce dogs that fit the "Siberian Standard".  Always maintaining type, temperament and the ability to work. These three components along with "structure" are the basis for our breeding program. It has proved successful in the ring as well as on the trail.

2007 - 2008 News:    As the fall fully sets in and winter has began it's formation we have lots going on with our dual purpose dogs. Of most important is that two of Arrow and Josie's boys are training with Wayne Curtis of "Team Stormwatch" up in Alaska. Grissom who is owned by Wayne & Chris and Terry & Kristen has shined in Alaska both in the ring and on the trail. His brother Armani (owned by Terry & Kristen and Wayne & Chris) showed in California with outstanding success as well. Both boys finished at 17 months just two weeks apart and both with regional specialty wins (WD/BOW).. We are hoping that both these young boys can make Wayne's team for Iditarod 2008.

In California we are getting ready to start a little training for the young dogs. We have several trained and experienced dogs that will teach the youngsters the ropes and possibly some success on the race course. We are extremely excited about two young males, Santana who is from our breedings of dual purpose dogs (Barqs and LeLu) and a very special boy from Wayne and Chris named Hook. Hook is out of Newman and Samantha, both accomplished Iditarod veterans.
